The Twin City Gang / Nonprofit Film Education & Industry Development
Mississippi Center for Cinematic Arts & Education
Grow the Industry. Build the People Behind It.
The Mississippi Center for Cinematic Arts & Education is a nonprofit arts and industry-development organization built to strengthen Mississippi's standing as a serious production destination — and that starts with people. Emerging filmmakers need a way in. Working filmmakers need ways to find each other. Productions need trained local crew. Communities need to understand what the industry brings to the table. And the state needs an organization capable of connecting all of it professionally.
The Center's work spans film education, workforce development, mentorship, industry networking, and professional development, alongside efforts to promote Mississippi as a filming destination. It connects students, emerging filmmakers, established professionals, educators, production companies, communities, and public-sector stakeholders.
The mission goes beyond teaching people how a movie gets made. It's about building the infrastructure — human and institutional — that lets more movies get made here, with Mississippi talent positioned to be part of them. The Center engages with local, state, and federal initiatives wherever those relationships advance film education, workforce development, and the cinematic arts across Mississippi.
